Finals Week Saddness

Yea so I know I haven't really done anything lately but give me a break! It's finals week and I have to pack up my stuff and move back home.  Oh and it's my last finals week ever!! Although I do think I might go to massage therapy school, but I don't know at the moment.

And as far as the senior project stuff is going I did manage to draw 50 leaves on that 1 piece of plywood.  I'm excited to go home and actually work on the stuff.  Cut them out, drill them, sand, prime, and paint them.  But it's going to be difficult because I just lost a cousin do to kidney failure and well it scares me because I've had my share of kidney problems, sooo I figured I'd dedicate my senior project to my cousin, Phillip because well the leaves I'm making kinda look like kidney shapes.

RIP Phillip Sheppard, gonna miss your crazy moments </3

The Wood and then some

So apparently I got the right plywood for it.  Now to draw the leaves on it, maybe drill some holes, and pick out colors for it.  Dr. Seuss colors of course.  Now I believe the size in my head for the space I'm creating it for is right so I don't think I'll have any problems with that because I can lay them out on the garage floor when the time comes.

When I get home I have to start looking for long branches about 5 to 6 inches in diameter and hopefully they're not wet and or it hasn't snowed.  Update about the Fund for Excellence that I applied for for this project: I got about $200 or so which is awesome. So no more worrying about money for awhile.

Also with the plywood, now seeing how big a piece the piece of plywood is I can safely say I need about 5 or 6 sheets which is like $100 to $120.  That isn't too bad really.

update: its $250 for the Fund of Excellence!!

Getting of The Wood

So I got payed last night and bought stuff that I need which means that today during the daylight hours I WILL GET WOOD to officially start my SENIOR PROJECT!!! WOOHOO!! FINALLY!!

Now I'm thinking about getting 3/16 2X4 which is kind of expensive but I don't know yet because I wanna see how big the boards are before I buy them.  And when I get them back to Hartwick, I don't know if I'm going to start really working on them or just try and find a place to put them.  I also have to look into picking out paint colors and how many leaves in certain colors I'm gonna do.  So lots of decisions to make today but after my class and work of course.  SUPER EXCITED!!
